Recreation on Vacation!

Good Evening! I've had a busy weekend here in Walt Disney World-booking land! I'm not going to dwell on this because I touched base on it in the last post, but I had a client change the number in her party for her vacation in October. No problem at the Contemporary Resort that she went from 3 people to 5....it's 2 queen sized beds and a day bed in the room, but then I had to fix the dining reservations. Ugh. An hour and a half later, I got something very close to what I originally had...close. I've said it before and I'll say it again....make those dining reservations!! :)

On to a new topic! How about some fun recreation today? There's nothing I enjoy more than being on a Walt Disney World vacation and seeing where the day leads me. That's what's great about the flexibility of the park hopper ticket. You can go in and out of any park at any given time of day while they're open. But what if you don't feel like going to a park one day of your vacation and doing something different that the kids will enjoy and equally if you're with adults that everyone will enjoy as well? There are several options!
1. Downtown Disney.
Downtown Disney has a variety of things to do and see..you can go shopping until your hearts desire, have lunch or dinner somewhere like The T-Rex Cafe (brand new...big hit with the kids!), Captain Jack's, or Wolfgang Pucks Cafe. Or you can rent some boats and go out on the lake, take a high-flying hot air balloon ride high in the air and feel like Mary Poppins, or catch a fantastic Cirque du Soleil performance!

2. Hang out at the resorts.
There are a variety of things to do depending on which resort you're wanting to spend time at. You don't have to be staying at any one in particular to be able to take advantage at the activities at another. Some people come just during the holidays to take in all the decorations, trees, gingerbread houses and to "resort hop"!

3. Ft. Wilderness
How about the Circle-D Ranch, a petting zoo, horse back riding, horse drawn carriage rides, boat rentals, hang out and have some lunch at a picnic table overlooking the lake, and for dinner get ready to "hoot and holler" at a showing of the Hoop de Doo Revue?!!? Sign me up! By the way, for some of these, you do have to "sign up"...don't forget to make your reservations!!
